The weather outside might be frightful but warmth is insight as we gather for a time of making new friends and finding encouragement at our annual Mid-Winter Seminar for Women, Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Redeemer Church. This year we are excited to feature a day discovering our glorious calling as we celebrate where God has placed us: Milwaukee, Wisconsin!
Many of us have been living here for a few years and others our whole lives. However, how much do you really know about Milwaukee? The people? The culture? On a daily basis you encounter numerous people who need Jesus, or just a reminder of who Jesus is - but how do you engage them? Milwaukee is our mission field!
Listen to Jen Wojtysiak, InterVarsity Area Leader for Milwaukee, share her heart for Milwaukee and engaging the woman on campus to the inner city. Learn anew about life and culture of Milwaukee! The day also features Natalie Bartelme, Redeemer Women's Ministries Director, as she shares with relevancy and humor what God's Word has to say about our "Our Glorious Calling!" (Ever wondered what exactly is a "calling"?) Be encouraged to learn God's love and purpose for our lives!
Lunch Milwaukee-style is included! Please bring your sling chair or lawn chairs (optional) and wear your favorite Milwaukee/Wisconsin attire (i.e. Packers, Brewers, etc.). Let's celebrate the unique place God has placed us! This is a fun day you won't want to miss! Check Sunday's at Activity Central for registration information or call Andrea D. (262) 853-4876. Cost is $5.
