Looking for Ideas

The Women of Redeemer's leadership team will be meeting soon and planning out the next June to June 2009-2010 calendar year; and we are looking for YOUR ideas and suggestions! If you have a Bible study you would like to recommend, an event idea for one of our Connection events or Girls Night Outs, or, perhaps, you know of a fun location in the Milwaukee area for our upcoming Summer Play, etc. we want to hear from you!     I'm not sure what "Summer Play" is exactly, and who all is invited, but it really sounds like it's just for moms with little kids - not at all for women who don't fall in that category. It would feel more welcoming to all if the name would be changed. :-)

    I'd love to do a recipe swap. I just went to one where we each either brought a few recipes on a jump drive or e-mailed them to the host beforehand. (They had to be recipes we'd tried before and loved.) We played games and hung out, and then afterward our host e-mailed all the recipes to us. There were maybe 15 of us who came, but we got 140+ sure-fire recipes out of it that we could just print off and put in a book. It was wonderful!

    Tamara, thanks for the recipe exchange idea! We definately can see this being a fun option!

    And regarding Summer Play: thanks for your feedback we definately will take this in consideration.

    And to answer your question: Summer Play was started last summer with the goal of gathering women together (with or without children) in various touristy/fun locations around Milwaukee. We had a great response to this last summer with women of all ages and stages of life attending. So regardless of the name - all is welcome!

    Women of Redeemer also hosts a number of women only activities to look forward to this summer. (One's we are very excited about!)These will be posted soon on-line and in Redeemer's Ministry Summer catalog.

    Thanks Jenny, for letting us know what study you are interested in doing. The bible study teachers love to hear feedback like yours. Presently there are no plans to be doing a study on the book of Revelation. However I will let the bible study teachers know that you are interested in studying that book. August is when we start advertising the studies for fall so being looking in the church news letter and the church bulletin for what bible studies will be offered.
